WASHINGTON —  NASA is charged with seeking out nearly all the asteroids that threaten Earth, but a new federal report says the space agency doesn't have the money to do the job.

Disaster movies like "Armageddon" and near misses in previous years may have scared people and alerted them to a serious issue. But when it comes to doing something about monitoring the threat, the academy concludes "there has been relatively little effort by the U.S. government."

And, according to the report, the U.S. government is practically the only government doing anything at all.

Donnie's Remarks...

Across the globe many have speculated what a major impact might look like.  This End of the World video clip from You Tube animates a catastrophic collision.

The prophecies in the Book of Revelation are NOT speculative.  They are inspired by the Holy Spirit and give us a Biblical forewarning of two coming impacts with the earth that will occur during the second half of Daniel's 70th week.  These collisions are part of the seven "Trumpet Judgments" which are administered by God's mighty angels upon an unrepentant world.  They will not destroy the entire earth, but serve as announcements of God's final judgment immediately before Jesus Christ sets up His everlasting kingdom!

Revelation 8:8-11 (MSG)
8 The second Angel trumpeted. Something like a huge mountain blazing with fire was flung into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood, 9 a third of the living sea creatures died, and a third of the ships sank.

10 The third Angel trumpeted. A huge Star, blazing like a torch, fell from Heaven, wiping out a third of the rivers and a third of the springs. 11 The Star's name was Wormwood. A third of the water turned bitter, and many people died from the poisoned water.
