20 KEY PROPHECY SIGNS BEFORE THE RETURN OF JESUS
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
First and foremost, all Biblical prophecy is about Jesus! The focus should always be on Him, not the Antichrist, that arrogant little horn and the other End-Time players. It is not about the mark of the Beast and the Tribulation. The details are important, but the heart and center of all prophecy is about Jesus and His kingdom to come. He is the revelation of God. Revelation 19:10 "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (His life and teaching are the heart of prophecy). Jesus is the essence of the God of all creation revealed to us. He created everything, he made us. And He reveals himself to us in prophecy and His Word.
God's plan for the End Times and the Second Coming of Christ is revealed throughout the Bible in the form of Biblical prophecy. Since the time of the early Christians, believers have asked themselves if they will be the generation to see the return of Christ. No one knows for certain when Christ will return, but Christians are not left to wonder without understanding or aim. Recognizable signs are to precede Jesus' return and Biblical prophecy sets forth a clear road map designed to give believers advance warning of the advent of the Great Tribulation.
The goal of this forum is to allow all Christians, from prophecy neophytes to sophisticated theologians, to recognize and understand those key prophecy signs that will confirm if and when we are living in the End Times (aka Daniel's 70th week). In short, we are proclaiming the Coming of the Lord Jesus and the unique events directly related to it!
Are we the generation? I believe specific prophecy signs are being fulfilled before our very own eyes.

Why watch for these 20 Prophecy Signs?
The Lord's coming is not sign-less. The Lord's coming is not at any moment. Jesus Christ will return to rapture the church sometime after the persecution of the Antichrist starts. In the meantime, we are to stay awake, watching for some very specific signs and prophesied events to precede His coming. The "end times" is a reference to a short seven-year prophetic period called Daniel's 70th week. During this seven-year period there will be very specific prophetic signs that will identify and confirm if we are living in the last days. Based upon my studies, I have compiled a list of 20 events that must occur before Jesus returns.
Not only do I hope to use these prophecy signs as a tool to break down what is otherwise a complex subject, additionally we can look at these as markers to know if we are getting closer to Daniel's 70th week. Our purpose is to prepare the Church for Daniel's 70th week, the Great Tribulation and the sufferings to be inflicted by the Antichrist.
While on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached Jesus and asked Him, “What are the signs of your coming and the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3). Jesus replied by giving them a list of signs and events to look for, such false prophets, deception, famines, pestilence, earthquakes, wars, and the desecration of the Temple by the Antichrist (Matthew 24:15).
Jesus said, “When you see all these things occur, look up. For your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:28). Note that Jesus didn’t say, “When you see one or two of these signs.” He said, “When you see all these signs.” In other words, the convergence of all the signs He spoke of are what we should be looking for.
“There’s a great deal to say in the Bible about the signs we’re to watch for and when these signs all converge at one place we can be sure that we’re close to the end of the age. And those signs, in my judgment, are converging now for the first time since Jesus made those predictions.” – Billy Graham, World Net Daily, 10/20/2013
The Bible cites numerous signs and events we should look for and they aren’t hidden signs. Our generation is unique among all those before us because we see the convergence of the signs Jesus and the prophets warned us to look for.
First, to distinguish false messiahs from the genuine Messiah.
Second, to give hope to his church in the midst of celestial-terrestrial upheaval.
Third, to give peace in the threat of false teaching concerning the Antichrist and Jesus’s parousia.
Fourth, to warn of the threat of the consequences of apostasy.
Fifth, to persevere in the faith to the end.
Sixth, to take action when the Antichrist is revealed.
Seventh, to discern what must first happen before the end arrives.
The term Last Days actually has a dual application (Near/Far), referring first to the time period following the death and resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus), and second to the days immediately preceding His return.
Looking at Luke 21, one can clearly see this principle: “And while some were talking about the Temple, how it was decorated with beautiful stones and offerings, Yeshua said, ‘As for these things you are looking at, the days will come when not one stone will be left upon another. Every one will be torn down!’” (Luke 21:5-6).
Herod’s Temple was destroyed and Jerusalem sacked in 70 A.D., fulfilling Yeshua’s words. As you continue reading through the terrible warnings of what is to come, much is applicable to the horrific Roman devastation that occurred at that time. However, verse 24b, “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled,” was not fulfilled until 1967 with the reunification of Jerusalem after the Six-Day War. And verses 25-28 are looking forward to a time yet to come, when Yeshua returns: “There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars. And upon the earth nations will be confused by the roaring of the sea and its waves.
People will lose heart from fear and anticipation of what is overtaking the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, stand straight and lift up your heads, because your salvation is near!”
